Operators before builders.

Julien, Alexandre et Vincent - Origami Marketplace

In 2012, Julien, Alexandre and Vincent launched their first marketplace. For 6 years, they ran it themselves: managing sellers, orders, payments, incidents and every edge case that came up day to day.

Back then, the solution they needed simply didn’t exist: a complete marketplace platform, fast to deploy, without depending on a massive agency budget, with a team that was genuinely available to support operators.

In 2018, they decided to build it themselves  and share it with other businesses. That’s how Origami Marketplace was born. The platform was co-built from day one with its first clients, drawing on both their experience as operators and their own.

Today, more than 97 marketplaces use Origami Marketplace to launch, operate and grow their platform.

  • 2015 - Founding of Comptoir du Code

    The founding team launches their first e-commerce project and develops deep technical expertise in building digital platforms.

  • 2018 - Origami Marketplace launches

    The platform goes live, co-built with its first operator clients to solve a gap the market wasn't addressing.

  • 2019 - First clients & first enterprise accounts

    The first operators are launching their marketplaces. Several French sports federations are becoming their first major clients.

  • 2021 - PRW Awards

    Origami Marketplace is recognized at the PRW Awards.

  • 2022 - Seed round, €2.3M raised

    Strengthening product, engineering and customer success teams.

  • 2024 - First international client & global launch

    First client outside France, English-language site launched.

  • 2025 - Origami Link launches

    A plug-and-play connector letting sellers distribute their catalog across 97+ partner marketplaces. Shopify, Magento and PrestaShop integration in 72 hours on average.

  • 2026 - Origami Autopilot

    AI built into the platform to automate operator back-office actions and free up your team from repetitive tasks.
