OUR JOURNEY
Operators before builders.
In 2012, Julien, Alexandre and Vincent launched their first marketplace. For 6 years, they ran it themselves: managing sellers, orders, payments, incidents and every edge case that came up day to day.
Back then, the solution they needed simply didn’t exist: a complete marketplace platform, fast to deploy, without depending on a massive agency budget, with a team that was genuinely available to support operators.
In 2018, they decided to build it themselves and share it with other businesses. That’s how Origami Marketplace was born. The platform was co-built from day one with its first clients, drawing on both their experience as operators and their own.
Today, more than 97 marketplaces use Origami Marketplace to launch, operate and grow their platform.

The founding team launches their first e-commerce project and develops deep technical expertise in building digital platforms.

How much does it cost to build a marketplace?
Origami Marketplace runs on a monthly subscription model, with no prohibitive setup fees. Pricing is adjusted based on the size and complexity of your project and remains accessible to mid-market operators. Unlike enterprise solutions that can run into hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Do you support the project itself, or just the platform?
Both. Origami Marketplace is a marketplace platform, but we also support operators on: structuring their marketplace model, organizing workflows, recruiting sellers, and optimizing operations. This guidance comes directly from our own experience as marketplace operators.
How long does it take to launch a marketplace with Origami Marketplace?
It depends on the project, but most marketplaces are up and running within weeks to a few months, depending on: catalog complexity, required integrations, and the level of customization. Our goal is to reduce time-to-market as much as possible.
Is the platform suited for B2B, B2C or services?
Yes. Origami Marketplace is used for multiple types of marketplaces: B2B marketplaces, B2C marketplaces, service marketplaces, C2C and/or C2B2C marketplaces, and custom multi-vendor platforms. The platform is designed to adapt to different business models.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes, and it’s actually a core part of how we work. After launch, we continue working with our clients through: regular check-ins, training sessions, a Client Club, and access to learnings from other marketplace projects. Launch is the beginning of the project, not the end.
Is your team easy to reach?
Yes. Every client has a named project lead who knows their project and their industry. This avoids impersonal exchanges and anonymous tickets — and means you get a real answer quickly when you need one.
Is a demo required before making a decision?
A demo is mainly useful to see whether the platform is genuinely a fit for your project, to understand your marketplace model, show the most relevant features, and answer your questions.
