YOUR QUESTIONS
The real questions we get asked.
What's the difference between a procurement hub and a B2B marketplace?
A procurement hub is an internal marketplace for a group or member network, enabling purchases from approved suppliers. A B2B marketplace is open to external third-party buyers. Origami Marketplace supports both models — often in combination.
How do we integrate our ERP (SAP, Sage, Cegid…)?
Origami Marketplace exposes a full API enabling bidirectional sync with your ERP: catalog, inventory, orders, and invoices. We offer native connectors and a webhook-based integration mode for custom systems.
How does volume-based pricing work on a B2B marketplace?
Each seller can configure tiered pricing rules by quantity (as a percentage or fixed amount), assignable to a specific buyer or buyer group. Pricing applies automatically once the cart quantity reaches the defined threshold.
Can we launch with a limited seller base and scale from there?
Yes. You can deploy an MVP with a few approved sellers, then progressively open onboarding as your marketplace grows. Sellers have an autonomous portal to manage their profile and information. Registration can be open or gated, with validation required before activation.
Does Origami Marketplace provide a storefront, or do we need to build one?
Both options are available. You can use a ready-to-deploy, customizable storefront template to launch quickly. If you already have a site or CMS (Shopify, Magento, PrestaShop…), Origami Marketplace can connect as the back-end layer to manage sellers, catalogs, and orders. And thanks to its headless architecture and open API, you can develop a fully custom front-end.
What is the pricing model?
A monthly subscription giving access to all features, a dedicated project manager, and continuous product updates. Pricing is adjusted to the size and complexity of your project. Request a custom quote for your specific use case.
What truly sets Origami Marketplace apart?
Three structural advantages set us apart.
A fully configurable workflow engine. Orders, quotes, products, messaging — every business process is configurable from the back-office, no developer required. Whether you manage simple flows or complex hybrid models (products + services, multi-supplier, reverse logistics…), the platform adapts to your rules — not the other way around.
A multi-model architecture, where competitors specialize. B2B, B2C, C2C, circular economy, e-procurement, lead generation — Origami Marketplace supports all these models on a single platform and lets you combine them. Start on a focused scope, expand as you grow. No technical lock-in, no platform migration.
Origami Studio for faster front-end deployment. If you don’t want to start from a blank canvas or tie up your tech team, Origami Studio gives you access to proven premium UX/UI themes and dedicated design support from day one. The result: a live marketplace, fast — with a buyer journey built to convert.
What is Origami Marketplace's story?
Origami Marketplace was founded in 2018, co-building its platform directly with its first clients. By 2019, new partners had joined the venture. In 2020, the platform expanded into new markets: recommerce, B2B, and services. A first funding round in 2021 supported team growth and early international expansion. In 2022, the solution was deployed with its first enterprise accounts. In 2023, a €2.3M funding round backed continued growth. In 2024, the site launched in English to support international expansion.
What is your GDPR compliance posture?
GDPR compliance is built into the platform by default — no add-on, no extra cost. Origami Marketplace is compliant with ISO 27018 (protection of personal data in the cloud) and ISO 27701 (privacy information management). In the event of a data breach, you are notified within 24 hours — well within the 72-hour requirement under GDPR.
